New family justice system data tracker launched

The new Nuffield Family Justice Observatory Data Tracker brings together data about children and families in the family justice system from national administrative data and other studies into one easy-to-use dashboard.

The dashboard will be regularly updated, tracking numbers of children and families, their demographics, outcomes and other analysis – from before court, through court proceedings, to after court, across both public and private law in England and Wales.

“It’s important that people in and around the family justice system have access to relevant, up-to-date data and evidence about the experiences of children and families.

“At Nuffield Family Justice Observatory, we hold a mirror to the family justice system – so the family courts and related services can reflect on their work, keep improving and make a positive difference to children’s lives.

“Our new Data Tracker is an easily accessible and regularly updated source of the latest data from across the system.
